Description

Daté : mars 2000

Auteur : Statistical Services Centre

A short booklet addressing the specific difficulties encountered in agricultural experimentation when conducting on-farm studies where there  may only be one animal per farm. These difficulties arise from the need to replicate experimental treatments and therefore conduct studies across multiple farms, which results in a large amount of variation between the animals in the experiment. The booklet provides advice and guidance on designing experiments in this situation.

Part of a series of statistical guides by The University of Reading Statistical Services Centre, which were originally written as part of a contract with DFID to give guidance to research and support staff working on DFID Natural Resources projects. They provide guidelines for staff involved in the development and presentation of research projects. The guidelines are intended to help researchers to identify their biometric or statistical needs.
