Description

Daté : juillet 2019

Auteur : CETRAD

A brochure containing information about the Ngolo or Matengo pit system. This is essentially a soil and water conservation system as well as a fertility restoration technique, through refuse decomposition and crop yield enhancement.

The brochure recommends the system for farmers in Maseki, Nzauni and Musengo hilly areas.

It contains some information about the background and advantages of the system, as well as practical advice for implementing it.

The information is potentially useful for farmers or those working alongside farmers and in agricultural development activities.

Compiled by Centre for Training & Integrated Research for ASALs Development (CETRAD) Ngolo tea.

Note: This resource was added to this database as part of a migration of resources from the now defunct CCRP Sphaera platform, and is still awaiting a comprehensive review and quality check.
