A guide to measuring smallholder farm inputs and output data. Such data is often collected via a survey using recall, with farmers asked about quantities. Such data is often of poor quality. The guide describes factors to look at to predict if low quality data is likely. It then suggests alternative methods that could better information. It should be relevant to anyone who is contemplating using recall methods to collect farm input and output data.
